I first thought we should just bid for shares in KCM now I think we should demand a share in all mining companies in Zambia. This is not just for profit but for protection of our people from bad practice. ZCCM-IH has been hijacked by criminals. If we have a share in these mines we would not have let FQM get away with 2.5 Billion Dollars or Lumwana Mine to exchange hands for over $7 Billion US Dollars without any Zambian becoming a Billionaire. It makes no sense for anyone to go to Sudan for a 2.5 million Dollars when we have just discovered Gold in Zambia. That money can be raised from our own people that will subscribe to this initiative. If 500,000 people paid a 5 dollar each, we can easily raise that money. Stop thinking about a saviour from outside as no one will speak for us. Just look at what happened during the Coronavirus Pandemic. If they can sell KCM to Agarwal for a song, they surely can sell it to us the Zambian people for the same. To give you a frame of reference how the money can be raised.
1000 Zambian people with $25,000 US dollars each can raise $25 million US Dollars
10,000 Zambian people with $2,500 US dollars each can raise $25 million US Dollars
100,000 Zambian people with $250 US dollars each can raise $25 million US Dollars
I have been to KCM and other mines including Kajem Mines to work out how much we can bid for this thing. All we need is to get a lot of Zambian people to register so that if we hit more than 1 million people we have to only put up a few coins to fight these money hungry pythons. We have numbers in the Mine Workers Union, Teachers Union, University Worker’s Union, NAPSA, Farmers Union, Marketeers etc. and we can all get together and bid for these mines. We shall find one person dedicate enough to organize these mines and turn it into a profit-making machine. A private investor does not mean foreigner so do not listen to mediocre people than still want to work on a plantation for nothing. Forget those who will say we have no capacity because they are talking about themselves. We are who we have been waiting for.
